Roulette chips carry denominations that determine the cost and value of any payouts that are generated. The coin denomination is chosen through the chip panel before placing a bet at crypto.games/roulette/bitcoin. Selecting a denomination does not place a chip automatically. It sets the active value so that each subsequent click on the layout places one chip of that satoshi amount. Understanding how denomination selection works, how it scales with payout ratios, and how it interacts with table limits allows a player to construct a session layout that matches their intended stake level precisely.
Do the chip panels offer denomination options?
The chip panel displays a row of selectable chip icons, each representing a fixed satoshi value. Providers determine the available denominations at the table configuration level. A typical panel might offer chips at 100, 500, 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 satoshis. Clicking any icon makes it the active chip. All placements made after that click use the selected denomination until a different chip is chosen. Active denomination applies only to new placements. Chips already on the layout from earlier in the same betting phase keep their original value. Switching from a 500-satoshi chip to a 2,000-satoshi chip mid-placement does not retroactively change chips already sitting on the grid. This allows a player to build a mixed layout where different positions carry different denominations within the same spin.
Are denominations related to payout ratios?
Bet types and chip denominations do not affect payout ratios. Straight-up bets always pay 35 to 1. That ratio generates a different amount of satoshi with each denomination. The stake of 200 satoshis plus the profit from a straight-up winning number is 7,000 satoshis. The same chip would yield a profit of 35,000 Satoshis plus the stake if it were staked at 1,000 Satoshis. Satoshi returns are proportional to the denomination, but the payout ratio is constant.
Even-money bets illustrate the same relationship. A red bet paying 1 to 1 on a 500-satoshi chip returns 500 satoshis profit. On a 2,000-satoshi chip, it returns 2,000 satoshis profit. Higher denominations amplify both wins and losses by the same multiplier. Selecting a denomination is selecting the scale at which the table’s fixed payout ratios operate.
Table limits for chip placement
Tables set two separate limits that affect how denominations interact with placement.
- Per-position maximum. Each bet position has a ceiling on the total satoshi value that can be stacked there. Straight-up positions typically carry a lower per-position maximum than even-money positions because a straight-up win is multiplied by 35 before settlement. A straight-up position with a 10,000-satoshi ceiling accepts up to 10,000 satoshis of chips regardless of how many chips reach that total. A player using 1,000-satoshi chips can stack ten before hitting the ceiling. A player using 5,000-satoshi chips hits the same ceiling with two chips.
- Table maximum total bet. Some tables cap the combined satoshi value of all active positions across the full layout for one spin. Reaching this ceiling prevents additional chip placements on any position for that spin, regardless of individual position limits.
The provider sets its own per-position and total bet limits, which aren’t always the same. Building a multi-position layout ensures there are no placements that are blocked once the final chips are placed.
